today it's choptime.

i've cut the swingarm in 3 pieces.

Amonth ago i bought a swingarm from a

93 sportster, and found out it was a bit different.

but that didn't matter, i just needed 4 inch of

pipe.

so after 1 hour grinding and welding, it's now 2 inch longer.

next step replace the shoch brackets and it's ready.

left 93, right 88.

the longer i look, the more i hates it,

love the tank, tires , springer, the whole back.

maybe with an other seat , steer and headlight.

a bit messy on this side.

why cut the seattubes if you do it like this.

oke, now i've seen this i know what to do.

I will not condemn him,

but contain some things I would do differently,

but from a distance it looks good.

today i did some work on my gs 550.

It was fucked up since my last ride.

one morning i wanted to go to work, and it didn't start.

i thought it was the battery, so i bought a new one.

It started wel, but the regulater did 20 volts, so the damn thing

was broke.

yesterday i got myself a new one,

so today i changed it. The damn thing was a lot bigger,

so i did some modifications.

But now it runs great again, made a testride, but gues what,

it started to rain.

Today we went to the liberty-park in overloon. a worldwar 2 museum, great collection of vehicles and other stuf of the liberation of holland. sure i took some pics of the bikes. and offcourse i couldn't mis the harley davidson xa. man i love that bike.. But what about the indian or the norton.

all in perfect condition.

today i went to the caferacerday ,
great day, great bikes . met some great people and i've seen some fantastic bike's.
Here are some pics of some awesome caferacers.
i went there on my gs- caferacer. 180 km
ride , damn my ass hurts , i have a bad headace, but it was a great ride.
Only one small problem, there was oil driping on the left, i'll fix it this week.
It's always great to meet bike loving people.

finally i found another one i like. Not everything, i hate the bars

but love the wheels, so i don't need two 16"rims, just some old style rubber. fender looks like a front fender,and i like the seat, and ofcourse a round oiltank.

today i went to "Boekel" a little town nearby.

every year they have classic races.

nothing beats the smell of burning oil and melting rubber.

the sound of the bikes is fantastic.

Its great to walk through the padock and see al the old bikes and there even older riders.

it's been a great day, nice wheater, and the first time i took the gs for a spin, it runs great...

yesterday we had a ride out with some guys from chopperstyle.
There where only 8 guys riding, everybody was scared for the rain.
CHICKENS.
started at customs and classics in Ede.
By Tjeerd, small guy, but a great bikebuilder.
Made a nice ride. and we didn't get wet.

After the ride we had a grat bbq
wich i missed cause i had to get home.
but before i left , we checked out tjeerds new bike.
sitting in the garage , checking out all kind of tanks.
Ill'go for the sparta tank.
(so you could give me the blue one, i think it looks nice on my sporty..)

a reel bad friday the 13e

Last week we spend in a holidaypark with the family, great weather, great park, lots of swiming with the kids.
a real nice week.
thursday my father called, my dog was realy sick, it seemed like he had a total black out every 4-5 hours.
We knew he was changing, cause he did things he never did befor.
we already thought he had something in his head.
wen we came home on friday , he was walking little rounds, didn't see us, didn't know us, and he fell down every half hour.
so we took him to the vet and she gave him an injection, she thougt he was somekind of hyperventilating. so she brought him to sleep.
But after one hour she called us to come real fast, it was getting reel bad.
he couldn't get out of it.
We did not want him any longer in pain and could not see him suffer, so there was only one solution,we had him put to sleep.
so it was a reel fucking bad day. for me, but also for my kids.
damn fucking friday the 13e.
we hope he has fun in the Eternal hunting grounds.
